CR Tin developed two new child resistant tins for pre-rolls packaging that are not released in the market yet. First one is round child proof tin tube and second is slide “standup” hinged child resistant tin. Comparing tins in the market, it’s a revolution. Let’s introduce what’s the difference between two new tins and the regular tins.
The regular tins in the market belongs to single child resistant lock like Gen1 100x60x20mm or Gen2 105x65x20mm child-resistant tin or the other child-resistant tins with plastic or metal buttons. The child-resistant lock of these tins will be practical and more customer applied it around 5 years. With more customer using same structure tins, there is no packaging advantage to attract customers. It needs these new metal boxes for pre-rolled joint packaging to build a new brand or flavor.
Slide “standup” hinged child resistant tin: the child-resistant structure is based on “standup” tin that outside lid and bottom matches slots on lid to form a child-proof lock. The improved area is situated at tin bottom. “Standup” tin is designed for infused mints because of the pouring style to get mints that this style is inconvenient to get pre-rolls. In order to get pre-rolls easily, CR Tin changed the bottom to removable bottom that the butt could be took out easily after opening tins and then lifting bottom. Tin bottom will be dropped if without lifting. This tin box couldn’t be airtight by the original structure, but it could be airtight after shrink wrapping. It’s natural and 100% recycling material for pre-rolls packaging.
Round child-proof tin tube: the child-proof lock continues D76x25mm version that slot on necking of bottom match groove in lid, but the structure, length between lid and bottom is changed. Comparing two or three-pieces tin, four-pieces structure could include all tin size to pack all kinds of pre-rolls like mini to king size. Usually, the length between lid and bottom will keep around 2-4mm inside space. It needs around 10-20mm inside space for this tin tube, so the butt will be appeared and took out easily after opening tins. The paper section could hold and protect pre-rolls well. This tin tube could be half-airtight condition. The fully airtight should be shrink wrapping. For this round tin tube, it belongs to fully recycling and biodegradable version.
With two new child resistant tins, the pre-rolls business will be smooth and popular. The unique shape with funny mechanism and convenient style could promise that two tins will be more attractive and popular in 2023.
